Counseling Services & Costs
Marriage & Family Therapy
Serving couples, individuals and children, I offer Marriage & Family Therapy that is brief, solution-focused, short term therapy with specific goals in mind.
Because Marriage & Family Therapy is short term in nature, studies show that clients are highly satisfied with their services. Over 98 percent of clients of Marriage & Family therapists report their therapy services as "good" or "excellent".
Typically, Marriage & Family therapists have a Master's or PhD in Marriage & Family Therapy and an average of 15-20 years of clinical practice.
They are recognized as a "core" mental health profession, along with psychiatry, psychology, social work and psychiatric nursing.
Consumers report that Marriage & Family therapists are the mental health professionals they would most likely recommend to friends, over psychologists, social workers and psychiatrists.

Costs & Treatment Packages
Costs: $185 for a 50 minute session.

During the first counseling session a treatment plan is discussed, clients can decide if they want to move forward with treatment or not. Many times just a few sessions are needed.
Typically clients commit to 2-6 months of counseling. By the end of therapy, they have the skills to
continually improve and maintain their progress on their own.

Insurance--"In Network"

If you want to use your insurance to cover therapy costs, before starting therapy please ask your insurance company:

your co-pay amount
your deductible amount
number of therapy sessions allowed
I am a provider for:

-
Princeton University Student Health Plan
-
Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey and Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield only
-
(I do not take clients with out-of-state BCBS insurance companies, such as Independence, Carefirst)

Insurance--"Out of Network"
Other than the insurance companies listed above, my services are considered "out of network" and my clients
pay "out-of-pocket".
Important: Please ask your insurance company if you can use "out of network" therapists, what diagnosis is needed, and how much they will reimburse you before starting our counseling sessions.
Often, insurance companies will cover 70-80% of the full counseling fee, but not all plans cover out-of-network services.
If you want to request reimbursement from your insurance company, after 4 sessions, I can provide a diagnosis and Summary of Services invoice to submit to your insurance company.

Scheduling & Payment

Sessions are scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis. Popular time slots fill up very quickly, so it is recommended to schedule in advance. Payment will lock in your time slot.

Payment is made before the therapy session by Zelle bank transfer. For sessions via Skype payment is made prior to the session.

Changing & Cancelling Appointments

Please note a 48 hour cancellation or change notice is required to cancel or change the appointment, otherwise the client is responsible for the full counseling fee of $185.
